It's that time again. U.S. News & World Report issued its 2013 best grad school rankings for library and information studies. Among the contenders were 51 U.S. institutions offering master's degree programs in library and information studies, all with American Library Association (ALA) accreditation. The rankings were determined by peer-assessment questionnaires, which were sent to the dean of each program, the program director, and a senior faculty member in the program. Here are grad schools that made the top 10: 1) University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, 2) University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, 3) University of Washington, 4) Syracuse University and University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (same ranking), 6) Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick and the University of Texas-Austin (same ranking), 8) Indiana University-Bloomington, 9) Simmons College, and 10) Drexel University.
