Thousands of attendees around the world took part in the 3-day Library 2.012 conference in October. Participants had their pick of 150 conference presentations and 11 keynotes in the second virtual conference series. The conference turned out to be quite a collaborative event: There were participants from 164 countries, more than 30 conference partners (including ALA), and an advisory board with members from 21 countries, according to conference co-chair Sandy Hirsh, professor and director of the School of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University.
