Artists how have a new way to showcase their work with a touch of a button. SlideRoom is a branded online portal where artists can send a virtual copy of their portfolios directly to a selected arts organization. Since the images are all electronic, there's no risk of damaging original portfolios or spending a fortune on color copies. Likewise, organizations can use this online management system to. collect and review portfolios during grant reviews or employment searches. "It's a win-win for both artist and organization," says Christopher Jagers, CEO and founder. "We found an unserved market." So far, more than 50 institutions have signed up for the service since it was launched in 2006, including the California Institute for the Arts, Carnegie Mellon, Hunter College, Pratt Institute, and Yaddo.
