摘要

Intelligent humanoid robots (IHR) are complex autonomous systems constructed to perform human-like physical and problem — solving/decision making tasks. This is achieved by merging proper mechanical, electronic and intelligence — behavioural capabilities embedded to the robot. For the intelligent action of the robot several functions are required such as cognition, perception, learning optimization, decision making and control. The IHR operations include self-organized operations (task planning, scheduling, etc.), cyclic operations (walking, grasping, etc.), and teleoperations. Computational intelligence (CI) represents a dominant and valuable class of methodologies and technologies for designing, implementing and achieving autonomous/intelligent performance of IHRs.rnThis special issue aims to publish original research results that advance the present status of IHRs through CI.
