In summary, Snowy 2.0 is a leader globally in the scale of the pumped-hydro station, technology adopted with the high head reversible motor generators, and in adopting modern construction techniques tailored for hydropower. To support construction of Snowy 2.0, which is now underway, the project will construct a temporary village for 2000 staff, it will be the third largest town in the area. In addition, the project will lead to the employment of an additional 3000 indirect workers in a beautiful part of the world.
