摘要

Turkey conducted airstrikes on Kurdish militia camps in northern Iraq on 18 February in response to a bombing in Ankara that killed 28 the day before. The overnight strikes targeted a Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) camp in Haftanin, Iraq, after Turkish prime minister Ahmet Davutoglu blamed the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in collaboration with the PKK for the bombing. The Turkish military stated that a high-level meeting of PKK members was taking place at the time, adding that the strikes had killed around 70 people.
