Defence contractors in India have been temporarily prohibited from discharging offset obligations through a wide range of defence services under an Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) order dispatched in June. The order, dated 23 May but published as a memorandum on 19 June, will have significant impact on foreign vendors seeking to fulfil their defence offset obligations through services in collaboration with an Indian offset partner.
