Iran is working on a cruise missile with a range of 2,000 km, according to the director of the Iranian Aerospace Industries Organization (IAIO). "God willing, [the] Meshkat cruise missile with a range of 2,000 km will be unveiled in the near future," Brigadier General Mehdi Farahi, who is also deputy defence minister, said on 9 September. "[It] can be fired from land, air and sea."
