International Security and Assistance Force (ISAF) officials in Afghanistan have cleared a precision strike system for use after a 14 February incident in which 12 civilians were killed when the weapon was originally believed to have missed its target.rnAccording to an ISAF statement released that day, two rockets from a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) were launched at insurgents but were alleged to have impacted approximately 300 m off their intended target in the Nad Ali district of Helmand province.
