Czech vehicle importer Praga-Export has signed a contract with the Slovak Ministry of Defence (MoD) to supply the Slovak Army with up to 40 IVECO M65E 4×4 Light Multirole Vehicles (LMVs) over a period of four years.rnVladimir Gemela, a Slovak MoD spokesman, told Jane's:" I can confirm that the MoD signed a preliminary contract with Praga-Export for the supply of the vehicles."rnHe said the contract, signed on 6 April, allows the MoD to procure vehicles and complete acquisitions when the budget is able to absorb the costs.rnPetr Ptacek of Praga-Export said: "The contract guarantees that Slovakia will purchase this specific type of vehicle."rnPraga-Export is in the process of delivering 90 IVECO M65E LMV vehicles to the Army of the Czech Republic (ACR) after signing a no-bid CZK3.6 billion (USD190 million) contract with the Czech MoD on 18 December 2009.
