A 30 per cent stake in Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is likely to be put up for sale in the near future as part of Seoul's continuing privatisation drive, KAI confirmed on 29 January. An official from KAI told Jane's: "Under the government's policy, its 30 per cent stake in KAI will be sold. The sale is currently being processed and potential buyers are being evaluated." Asked when the stake will be put up for sale, he replied: "It is difficult to say but I expect it will take some time." The official said it is unlikely that foreign investors would be allowed to bid for the stake.
