Pilots at Norway's Bodo main airbase have scrambled 20 times so far in 2009 to meet a total of 41 approaching Russian aircraft, a Norwegian air force spokesman announced on 5 August.rnThe Royal Norwegian Air Force's F-16s currently take to the skies on average every 10 days to intercept aircraft along their coast. On an undisclosed number of occasions, they have also been assisted by Royal Air Force (RAF) jets, it was reported, although a spokesman forthe UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) would not provide further details.
