The UK Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) has issued a detailed Summary of Requirements for two of the major Technology Demonstrator Programmes (TDPs) for the British Army's. multi-billion dollar Future Rapid Effects System (FRES). The FRES project is intended to equip three brigades with up to 1,700 medium armoured vehicles. Expression of interest from industry are due to be returned to the DPA by the end of this month although by this time it is expected that a single contractor would have been selected for the main Assessment Phase (AP) of FRES.
