Lieutenant General Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz has been fired as the commander of Saudi Arabia's Joint Forces and is being investigated for "suspicious financial dealings" at the Ministry of Defence, a royal decree announced on 31 August. The decree said Lt Gen Turki's son, Prince Abdulaziz Fahd bin Turki bin Abdualziz, was also relieved as deputy governor of Al-Jawf region and is being investigated by the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority along with several other officials.
