The Pakistan Navy (PN) is building cap-ability and capacity to tackle a growing range of enduring and emerging mari-time threats, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, the PN's Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), toA Janes. Adm Niazi, who became the navy's CNS in October 2020, brieked. Janes on his ambitions for the PN, the need to continue building the navy as a proactive force in supporting efforts to tackle the maritime domain's various security challenges, and the capabilities arriving to help address these challenges. "I envision the PN to be a combat-ready force that contributes towards credible deterrence, preserves national security, safeguards maritime interests, and advances regional maritime security," he said.
