HOLLAND is the first of four Oceangoing Patrol Vessels that are currently being built for the Royal Netherlands Navy. The ship was designed to accept Thales' Integrated Mast: a superstructure that presents an advanced engineering solution to the customary problem of efficient ship/sensor integration. By resolving the electromagnetic conflicts and line-of-sight obstructions inherent in traditional topside arrangements, it provides remarkable advantages in terms of operational performance and shipbuilding risk. The IM400 combines most of the ship's sensors and antenna systems. The fifth IM400 under contract will be installed on the Joint Support Ship Karel Doorman, scheduled to be commissioned in 2014.
