摘要

JR East installed Advanced Train Administration and Communications System (ATACS), train control system based on a radio communication, on the Senseki Line on October 10, 2011. The system has been in operation with good results since then, thus JR East has decided to introduce it on the metropolitan Saikyo Line. Although this is the second case for ATACS, its launching on the metropolitan core networks is intended to be an opening for a next generation transportation system. This paper focuses on the overview of the Saikyo Line ATACS and its difference from the Senseki Line ATACS.
