The AACSB has made some changes in its standards for schools of business in the aftermath of Enron and WorldCom. Would you please briefly summarize each of those changes and explain why they were made? First of all, AACSB has been involved with ethics education in business schools for over 90 years. Even with the pre-2003 version of the standards, ethics education has been a common part of our expectations for AACSB accredited business schools. There is no doubt, scandals such as Enron and WorldCom acted as enablers to once again raise the awareness and importance of ethics education. Regardless, for AACSB, ethics education has always been very important aspect of business schools, and where we are today is a reflection of that evolution.
