A finite difference scheme is proposed for solving the initial-boundary value problem of the Maxwell-Bloch equations. Its numerical solutions preserve some properties of the true solution. The numerical experiments are presented. Finally the stability and convergence are proved strictly. (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc. [References: 21]
