Public transport providers know they need to attract and retain riders to help offset operating costs, increase revenue and grow profitability. But what will get drivers out of their cars and onto public transport? Respondents to a global Accenture survey on public transport indicate that ticketless journeys, aided by new technology, could be a key motivator. What's more, the majority said they are willing to pay for the convenience.
