摘要

The UITP Sustainable Development Commission was founded in 2003. Its creation was prompted by the need to discuss the issues of climate protection and the environment clearly and transparently in relation to the PT sector; to devise positions on sustainable development globally; and, above all, to be seen to be taking action. In order to encourage sustainable development worldwide, many different sectors come into play. In more and more of the world's regions, accessible mobility for all, particularly the less well off, is an increasingly scarce commodity. This can stifle an individual's development by hindering access to a good education, self-improvement and places of work.
