摘要

Volume 34, Issue 2, of the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management (JOBM) contains a representative grouping of Discussion Articles, Research Articles, Research Reports, and a Report From the Field. The Discussion Articles offer provocative reviews of JOBM publications associated with the expanded use of motivating operations plus the assessment utility of behavioral systems analysis and the Performance Diagnostic Checklist. These discussions are followed by experimental articles that highlight the positive impact of applied technologies such as job aids, response cards, different types of prompts, and rule-following feedback on employee performance in a variety of public and private organizations. The theoretical and experimental themes of this issue demonstrate the pragmatic utility of behavior science in an ever-changing cultural climate. Like many other sciences, our challenge lies in the timely alignment of our scholarly work with applications in relation to emerging sociocultural topics.
