摘要

The Civil Legal Aid (Prescribed Types of Pollution of the Environment) Regulations 20121 were made on October 25,2012 and come into force on April 1,2013. They provide that civil legal aid will be available for injunctions in respect of nuisance arising from pollution of the environment that causes harm to either: 1. the health of human beings or other living organisms; or 2. the quality of the air, water or land. The Government expects to fund a similar number of civil legal aid cases relating to pollution in future as it currently funds under existing legal aid arrangements.
