Guest Editorial: Latest Developments in Neuro-Fuzzy Intelligent Robotic Systems

摘要

As robotic systems make their way into standard practice, they have opened the door to a wide spectrum of complex applications. Such applications usually demand that the robots be highly intelligent. Continued technical progress is vital to make robotic systems truly intelligent. As emerging technologies, neural networks and fuzzy logic systems are viewed as the most prominent methods toward intelligent robotic systems, thus have regained strong publication attention in the robotics community. The past few years have witnessed significant progress in this direction. The main purpose of this issue Neuro-Fuzzy Intelligent Robotic Systems is to sample a few works from the mainstream and provide readers with the most recent development in this technically important area. About 60% of invited articles was accepted for publication. All articles were carefully screened by the guest editors for technical quality and suitability to the special issue theme and were blind-foldedly reviewed by at least three reviewers.
