Tomahawk Lake is located in the heart of Wisconsin's Northwoods region, well-known for fishing, boating, and outdoor recreation opportunities. Tomahawk Lake is listed as an Outstanding Resource Water by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. A recent aquatic invasive species management project on Tomahawk Lake blended innovative technology with manual labor in a search for the most effective way to maintain this precious natural resource.rnThe Tomahawk Lake Association (TLA) is committed to keeping Tomahawk Lake, a 3,392 acre lake in Oneida County, Wis., as pristine and healthy as it has historically been. The lake covers a portion of four towns: Minocqua, Woodruff, Hazelhurst, and Lake Tomahawk. Its watershed is 10,094 acres.
