Humectol CF is an auxiliary product for the soaking of fresh hides. Its active compounds are protein derivatives with inorganic salts and soaking surfactants without an ionic character. It is a white powder that dissolves the cementing interfibrillary substance and, therefore, makes the penetration of the water easier. It is a well balanced product which can be used as a sole soaking agent of fresh hides with the addition of an alkali (such as sodium carbonate or diluted soda), in order to adjust the pH of soaking bath.
