This report analyses the retail market for eyewear in Spain. The report covers the time period 1995-1999, with estimates for the latter year based on part-year data. Forecasts are to the year 2004. For the purpose of the report, Euromonitor has divided the eyewear market into three sectors: spectacles, contact lenses/after care products and sunglasses. 1. Spectacles: comprising frames and lenses. 2. Contact lenses/After care: comprising hard and soft lenses, and also incorporating data pertaining to after care products (solutions and related tablets). 3. Sunglasses: includes corrective and non-corrective versions, in addition to clip-on products. Specifically excluded from the report are protective and industrial optical products. In the report, the term "piano" is used with reference to sunglasses. It is used to refer to lenses which do not contain a curvature for correcting vision defects.
