This report examines the Italy retail market for sauces, dressings and condiments. The report covers the time period 1995-1999 with forecasts to the year 2004. The retail market for sauces, dressings and condiments is divided into the following four sectors: 1. Sauces: this sector includes tomato pastes and purees, pasta sauces, wet sauces and fermented sauces; 2. Condiments: this sector is made up of mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard; 3. Herbs and spices: this sector includes saffron, pepper, dried vegetables and others; 4. Others: in this sector are included condiments for rice and pasta, sweet and sour, other condiments and other sauces. Coverage includes food preserved in cans, jars and cartons. However, products such as peeled tomatoes, pickled products and products preserved in oil, including olives, are not part of this report. All 1999 figures are based on part-year data.
