Established in 1893 to put an end to decades of conflict that, in many circumstances, saw Her Majesty's forces succumb, this controversial border between Afghanistan and Pakistan seems to become more and more evanescent.rnFrom the outset, it was ignored by indigenous people, who had seen their lands suddenly and artificially divided. Today the attitude of the United States towards the border has changed. The strategic plan of President Obama, known as "Af-Pak", regards this international division as superseded and sees Afghanistan and Pakistan as part of the same problem.%La "linea Durano"' segna il confine internazionale tra Afghanistan e Pakistan.
