SOF are being employed overseas in high-risk environments executing sensitive operations as individuals or in small groups. Many of these operations are low visibility and provide limited force protection for the operator. Additionally, these operations require highly specialised skillsets that aid the operator's ability to minimise the risk of compromise, maximise force protection through locally procured or improvised tools/equipment and improve chances of survival through advanced fighting and evasion techniques. One company working to equip the SOF operators with these needed skillsets is Cubic NEK.
