Current conflicts and stabilisation missions take place in close cooperation between military units and civilian national and international governmental and nongovernmental organisations. Organised crime can frequently be found with insurgents and revolutionaries. The civilian population is an integral component of a deployment area, whereas police forces, relief organisations, reconstruction and/or charitable organisations adopt a multiplicity of tasks. They all move constantly between invisible, regularly changing fronts and can at any time be a target of assaults and kidnappings. Police and national and international organisations are well aware that they must find new ways regarding equipment to protect their personnel. Therefore, armoured vehicles are used at all times for movement outside of stationary, protected areas.
