In an interview with MILITARY TECHNOLOGY, Igor Valnicek, CEO & General Director, EVPU Defence Ltd. comments on recent developments of the company, key products and capabilities, and strategic plans MT: Please explain the history of EVPU Defence from its foundation, in terms of ownership, major developments etc. I. Valnicek: In June this year, it was exactly 10 years since the Slovak company EVPU Inc. founded EVPU Defence Ltd. in Uherske Hradiste, Czech Republic, which is a daughter company together with two other partners. The town Uherske Hradiste was not chosen randomly, it is a town known not only for wine, slivovitz and traditional culture, but the town and its suburbs have a large history in precision engineering focusing on air and military engineering and production of electrical equipment.
