Richard Warren commends the dairy industry's progress in this area, but says if it wants to keep afloat, it has to put itself out there. Water has been everywhere in recent months, both literally and figuratively. In the spring and early summer, much of the UK lamented, with a hint of nostalgia, the return of the hosepipe ban, which was swiftly followed by one of the dampest summers on record.
