South Caerarfon Creameries has had a great year, winning over 20 awards and gaining numerous accreditations. The co-op attributes its success to the quality of the milk, as Michael Finch found out...rnFarmers' co-operatives have had a chequered history. Of the hundreds created over the last century or so, only a handful have survived. Bucking the trend is South Caernarfon Creameries, founded in 1938 - just five years after the launch the former Milk Marketing Board - and now the leading farmer owned dairy cooperative in Wales.
