National Guardsmen and Reservists are not enrolled in the TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS) because they don't know about it, according to a report from the Government Accountability Office released last month.The report blames the lack of awareness on the Defense Department's poor effort to publicize the program that provides health care benefits at a low cost.Officials from three of the seven reserve components told GAO they were unaware of a 2007 policy that made the components responsible for making their members aware of the benefit.
