In the petroleum industry, mining of horizontal wells is extensively car- ried on with a view to improving the efficiency of recovering oil and gas and activating the existing oil wells. Since it has not been cleared yet how such factors as a casing bending and its wear, a friction force between the casing and the well wall and so exert influences on the properties of steel pipe, the safe and economical casing designing technology has not been established.
