According to the available information, Arctic area is becoming more and more in-rnteresting due to its potential oil and natural gas reserves and openings of new sea passages developed as a result of ice melting. However, the question is whose property is the Arctic. Many countries like Can-rnada, USA, Denmark, Norway and Russia are claiming their rights to this area. In 2007, Russia performed spectacular placing of national flag in Arctic offshore near North Pole at the depth of 4 200 m.
