On February 28, 2008 INA reported to the Zagreb and London Stock Exchange the beginning of oil production at the Jazal field and gas and condensate production at the Mustadira field in the Hayan block in Syria. The Jazal oil field I was discovered at the end of 2006 as INA's fourth commercial discovery of hydrocarbons in Syria, and the Mustadira gas-condensate field was discovered in the middle of 2007. In Syria INA has been producing oil from the Jihar field since November 2005 and gas from the Palmyra field from December 2006. INA's share in the quantities of hydrocarbons produced so far amounts to 70 thousand tonnes of oil and 82 million m~3 of gas.
