Genetic variation obtained from tissue cul- tures has been sugested as a source of novel breeding materialin banana plant improvement such as disease resistance to fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum. The effects of Gamma rays and fusaric acid on plant regeneration and genetic variation in banana cv Nangka were studied. The objective of this study was to deter- mine genetic variation int heplantlets treated by irradiation and fusaric acid application on shoot buds, and to obtain lines of banana cv Nangka that were tolerant to fusaric acids.
