摘要

Production levels and reserve growth on the Pinedale Anticline have grown considerably since the current play entered its major development phase. Some indication of this growth can be seen in Table 6.1, which lists average and gross reserve figures for locations drilled by Ultra Petroleum, currently the leading operator on the anticline. As indicated, per-well reserves increased from 4.9 Bcf to 7.1 Bcf between 1999 and 2002, while the total number of locations grew three-fold. This overall trend of increased drilling activity and ever-higher productivity, related to steady improvements in completion technology and reservoir understanding, mimics the pattern achieved at Jonah Field.
