Sometimes you face a type tight spot, even if you've been designing for years and know typefaces better than the backs of your own hands. Type Teams, rooted in principle and theory, is a new comprehensive reference book for all levels of designers and any type enthusiast. Written by Tony Seddon, freelance designer, art director and writer with more than a decade of experience, this book features 150 typeface combinations across 25 individual categories to allow readers to contextually match a combination with the mood or style of their project. Each of the categories includes explanations and illustrated examples of typographic principles, with 50 detailed throughout the book. Type Teams may save you from falling into the internet rabbit hole of research, but makes no promise about the typographic wormhole.
