The article examines the resources in the hunting industry and natural fruit and berry harvesting in the Far East as a significant supplementary source for the regional population s food supply.' The meat from game animals, wild nuts, fruits, forest plants, and mushrooms are environmentally friendly, and essentially delicacies, significantly exceeding the quality of analogous agricultural products. At present, however, these resources are rarely used.
