Safety training is commonly viewed as a solution for workplace safety problems. As a result, organizations spend much time and money on training. Unfortunately, this training often does not result in the high levels of performance expected. This article presents strategies to ensure that training has a long-term, positive impact on organizational performance. The focus is on ways to effectively integrate safety training into the work process and establish ongoing systems to sustain performance.
