Shaftesbury's legal battle with Hong Kong billionaire Samuel Tak Lee will not reach the courts for another 18 months, it has emerged. Shaftesbury chief executive Brian Bickell said Lee's £10.4m litigation over a rights issue in December 2017 had been scheduled for mid-2021. The Hong Kong billionaire alleges that the £265m fundraising was a plot to prevent him from mounting a takeover bid. A spokeswoman for Lee said: "Mr Lee's primary objective from these legal proceedings is to secure a declaration from the court that they [Shaftesbury] acted in serious breach of their fiduciary duties."
