Corporate social responsibility (CSR) looks at the actions of the business world on society and the environment, and what measures are put in place to comply with ethical and moral standards. The Dictionary of Corporate Social Responsibility aims to provide background information on the concepts surrounding CSR by providing concise definitions of key terms. As with any dictionary, the book lists out these terms alphabetically, and each definition takes up approximately half a page. Each definition is assigned a title; the author and references to other, external-based sources are detailed at the end of the description. There is an index which just lists out the terms alphabetically, and refers you to their page number, in effect acting as a content page. There are a few black and white pictures and diagrams scattered within the text. While they assist in adding value to the explanation, a couple of them are difficult to interpret due to low resolution and poor contrast.
