A Dictionary of Media and Communication is one of the latest offerings from the Oxford Paperback Reference series and the second I have reviewed. The authors, Daniel Chandler and Rod Munday, both lecture at Aberystwyth University. Chandler teaches Media and Communication studies and has run a website on the subject since 1995. He is an author and consultant on marketing semiotics with particular interest in visual semiotics of gender. Rob Munday's area of teaching is media production and new media topics. In the past he has worked in television post-production.
