Manufacturers of medium/heavy commercial rotorcraft are projected to deliver 1,285 aircraft worth $24.6 billion from 2018 through 2027. Annual production is forecast to rise through the year 2020, when manufacturers are forecast to deliver just under130 aircraft to the market. It will then decline in 2021 and 2022 in line with a forecast cyclical slowdown in the global economy. Growth will return to the segment in 2023.
