The design principle for control systems of a group of parallel drives for water pumps with automatic diagnostics and backup of the control channels on the basis of a multiband sweep converter is considered. The influence of individual failures on the effectiveness of the whole system is analyzed. As a practical example, the control system for a group of asynchronous water-pump drives is discussed.
