摘要

The aim of this study is to investigate how digital audio broadcasting (DAB) radio programs for children with scientific and social contents can improve their education in Iran by using four different programs as stimuli. In this analytical survey, participants were 150 children, 75 girls and 75 boys aged 4-11 who had attended in children's DAB radio stations of Tehran, Iran in 2013. Data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed by statistical tests in SPSS software. Our results showed that "duration of listening to radio programs", and "content of programs" had significant relationship with educational improvement of children. Also, our findings indicated that boys were developed more than girls in terms of both national identity and safe use of energy by listening to DAB radio programs in Iran, but there was no relationship between children's gender and their educational improvement.
