摘要

Effects of Hall current and wall conductance on steady hydromagnetic Couette flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid in a rotating system when the moving plate of the channel is arbitrary conducting and stationary plate as non-conducting, is studied. Exact solution of the governing equations for the fully developed flow is obtained in closed form. The expressions for the shear stress and rate of heat transfer at both the plates and mass flow rates are also obtained. The numerical solution of the velocity and induced magnetic field is computed from the analytical solution with the help of MATLAB 7.0 and depicted graphically while numerical values of shear stress at the moving plate, mass flow rates and rate of heat transfer at both the plates are presented in tabular form for various values of Hall current parameter m and wall conductance ratio Φ.
